Attorney Referrals and Co-Counsel
Attorney Referrals
A significant portion of our cases come through referrals from other attorneys who trust our litigation experience and courtroom results. We value the professional relationships we build with referring counsel and welcome the opportunity to work together in the best interests of the client.
When an attorney refers a matter to our firm, we respect and protect that attorney’s relationship with their client. Referring lawyers may remain as involved in the case as they prefer, or they may choose to take a more limited role while our firm handles the litigation. Attorneys often refer matters because of conflicts of interest, limited time, or because a case involves issues outside their primary area of practice. Whatever the reason, our priority is achieving the strongest possible outcome for the client while preserving the referring attorney’s relationship with that client.
We take a collaborative approach to every referral. Referring attorneys are treated as professional partners throughout the process. Where permitted under applicable state bar rules, the firm also offers referral fee arrangements that comply with professional responsibility guidelines.
Out of State Counsel
We also work with attorneys from outside the state who need to partner with local counsel to pursue a case in Connecticut. Our firm can provide comprehensive litigation support, including legal research, administrative support, case strategy development, and trial assistance when needed.
